Summary:
Seagen is seeking a Director of Soft Services will manage and maintain overall site service, performance, processes, and quality standards for soft services of Seagen’s HQ site located in Bothell, Washington. The role will provide leadership and is fully accountable for the overall site service, performance, processes, and quality standards for soft services across multiple buildings ensuring the work environment supports the Seagen business operations.
The services at the site level are provided by contract partners, and as such, the Director of Soft Services will ensure effective: local governance of the contracted relationships; service delivery remains cost, quality, safety, and customer focus. The role will report directly to the head of Global Facilities Management.
Principal Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Responsible for relationship management with senior stakeholders at site to ensure infrastructure and services support. Facilitate the full range of business operations while ensuring enterprise needs are aligned and balanced against local business needs and constraints.
- Define service policy and standards including service scope, measures, and cost as defined by and with customer and industry-driven data and requirements. Measure and benchmark the service line across Seagen sites and industry leaders.
- Working closely with the Facilities Management leadership, take a lead role within the development and delivery of facilities management soft services and programs.
- Embed a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus. Create strong teamwork between REF, its service partners, and its customers.
- Solicit and utilize customer feedback and satisfaction information to enhance our performance and customer experience by driving improvements.
- Ensures a seamless and consistent level of service is provided at every user touchpoint
Operational:
- Ensures proper protocols are followed to maintain compliance with equipment, facility, automation, and asset management infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities for improved site-level service delivery from providers through innovation, technology, and processes.
- Track and monitor performance metrics and indicators for all buildings. Report performance and executive level decisions or interventions to ensure compliance with the contract terms.
- Ownership of KPI s & metrics manage performance and governance process for daily management operations
Financial:
- Financial savvy with a command of pricing and profitability, working all aspects of the P&L to deliver viable business propositions. Manages approved operational budgets. Ensures maintenance for equipment, facilities, and systems is performed to keep operations optimized. Responsible for the documentation of facility modification processes and change control.
- Ensure that all programs and services deliver against set financial targets and are delivered on time within and to the required specification. Work in cooperation with Finance and the field to ensure that financial transactions are processed in an orderly and timely fashion-goal to ensure invoice amounts are correct and paid on time.

- Teach and coach internal team members and service partner leadership on facilities management service excellence principles, techniques, and behaviors.
- Ensure the team promotes the values and behaviors of excellent customer service and engages with internal and external customers at every opportunity, ensuring a ‘right first time’ approach in all team activities.
- Manage service vendor compliance adherence and identify/escalate service risks to governance teams to drive the organization to meet the highest standard of ethics and compliance while managing risk.
- Interacts with various internal groups to ensure regulatory and compliance systems and processes are implemented.
- Provide guidance, support, and goals for service teams responsible for delivering services to HQ
- Organized and driven approach to managing projects, team members, etc. to establish and deliver on key initiatives and performance targets.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree required; Facilities Management, Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
- 7+ years prior experience in Facility Management, Vendor Management, Hospitality, Soft Services and / or Operations. Knowledge of Pharma or Biotech industry preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of increasing responsibility in managing and leading a team of facility managers and/or building engineers/technicians.
- Minimum of 3 years of FM or Operations project or program management experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of facilities maintenance and operations management, utility operations and infrastructure.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong leadership, collaboration and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to problem solve and drive positive change.
- Keen understanding of sourcing/procurement, building systems and maintenance, vendor management and customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and successfully execute tactics.
- Experience effectively leading teams in a matrixed structure as well as experience leading teams directly.
- Ability to present a clear analysis of complex financial and organizational information to executives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent business judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities; proven ability to think outside of the box and innovate.

The hiring pay range for this position is $196,000 to $253,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
