Summary
We are currently seeking a Corporate Compliance professional with expertise in leading an [Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption (ABAC)] Program. Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is a plus. The position will report to the head of North American Compliance. The primary responsibilities of the Director, ABAC is to lead Seagen’s global ABAC program consistent with global guidance such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Antibribery Act. The successful candidate will cross-functionally engage Senior Leaders and their delegates, Compliance leadership and external counsel to develop and implement a risk-based, scalable, global ABAC program.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Seagen’s subject matter expert and key advisor for ABAC
- Lead and manage the Seagen third-party due diligence program
- Evaluate and enhance current processes and integrate the third-party diligence program into Seagen’s procurement/vendor onboarding process
- Work closely with cross-functional leaders to implement controls early in the third-party selection process to create an efficient, risk based third party selection process
- Establish criteria to risk-rank and assign appropriate diligence levels to each third-party
- Implement Seagen’s global third-party training and governance program. Collaborate with a cross-functional global team to implement processes and procedures to determine which third-parties require compliance training and then execute the training and governance program
- Develop with Seagen’s third-party life-cycle management program in partnership with corporate leadership
- Engage and oversee outside counsel, auditors, and other service providers necessary to support the ABAC program
Required Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of recent, relevant in-house experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company’s compliance department is required
- Knowledge of and experience with US and ex-US laws, regulations, and industry guidance on a risked based ABAC program
- Effective public speaking skills and an ability to communicate in both verbal and written form with multiple stakeholders within and outside the company
- Ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams and projects
- Strategic leadership capability, strong organizational awareness, sound judgment, strong business acumen and ability to make decisions with input from multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
JD or other advanced degree preferred
