Systems Administrator Exchange

Description

Position Summary:

This position provides technical support and executes systems administration tasks related to Microsoft Exchange and related Active Directory, M365, and Azure components at Seattle Genetics supporting the corporate and Global IT long-term and short-term strategies.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support Global IT customers at all levels both within and external to Seagen
  • Leverage technical knowledge and problem solving skills to troubleshoot and execute user access, user administration and other final tier escalation incidents and requests related to Exchange, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office client applications, and other software and services managed by the Global IT Enterprise Applications Exchange Team. Documents and resolves incidents and requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other members of the Global IT Enterprise Applications Exchange team on incidents and requests. Collaborate on tickets as needed
  • Regularly collaborate with multiple groups within IT to drive toward ticket completion and issue resolution
  • Perform routine tasks related to systems and solutions managed by the Global IT Enterprise Applications Exchange team, including but not limited to Exchange Online permission changes and AD/AAD group membership changes
  • Maintain awareness of controlled systems managed by the Global IT Enterprise Applications Exchange team and associated operating procedures. Execute routine tasks within scope of these procedures with a high degree of accuracy
  • Independently identify gaps in current knowledge documentation and contribute to new knowledge documentation supporting both the Global IT Enterprise Applications Exchange team and end users of a variety of technical aptitude levels

Required Qualifications:

  • Five years experience in a customer service role with a technical focus
  • Strong knowledge of Windows computing environments and client software including Microsoft Server, Exchange, M365, and Office
  • Strong knowledge of defensive measures for the Exchange environment
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure AD management
  • Experience working on problems of advanced scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors, while following proper escalation procedures
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and ability to effectively handle multiple activities simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies quickly and adapt to a rapidly evolving IT environment.
  • Strong Powershell skills related to management of Exchange and AD/AAD
  • Ability to self-unblock on technical hurdles and make strong decisions in high pressure situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Exchange 2010, 2016, and EXO
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Azure AD as it relates to a Microsoft 365 environment
  • Experience with ITIL framework
  • Experience with incident management in Exchange operations
  • Powershell original code producer
