System Administrator - SharePoint M365

Information Technology - Bothell, Washington - US Field Based

Description

Summary:

This position provides technical system administration of SharePoint and M365 collaboration and content management capabilities at Seagen in support of the Corporate and IT long term and short-term strategies.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining on-premises SharePoint Server and cloud-hosted M365 environments, as well as other collaboration and content management services. You will contribute to business management processes and execute operations related to system and technical aspects of these capabilities.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support Global IT Enterprise Application Services customers at all levels both within and external to Seagen. This includes customers in a variety of global geographies and time zones
  • Leverage technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and process Tier 2 incidents and requests related to SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office client applications, Adobe Document Cloud, and other collaboration and content management software and services managed by the Global IT Enterprise Application Services team. Document and resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other members of the Global IT Enterprise Application Services team on incidents and requests. Process tickets escalated from lower tier support personnel and escalate further as needed
  • Create and configure new SharePoint sites, add document libraries and lists, and customize pages in response to user requests
  • Extend SharePoint functionality leveraging Microsoft 365 suite components including Power Automate, Forms, and Power Apps
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders on initiatives to implement business solutions. Support migration of content between SharePoint environments
  • Compliantly maintain and update GxP qualified and validated components of the systems
  • Follow internal change management procedures to ensure that environments are kept in appropriate states of control
  • Periodically perform system maintenance activities outside of normal system access hours
  • Participate in an on-call rotation that includes 24x7 availability to respond to major incidents
  • Contribute to knowledge articles defining best practices for support of software and services managed by the Global IT Enterprise Application Services team
  • Collaborate with key IT Stakeholders including Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure to ensure systems are maintained and governed according to Seagen standards
  • Build and leverage networks inside and outside the company

Qualifications:

  • Experience with system administration, system configuration, and/or system engineering
  • Technical experience with M365 and SharePoint system management
  • Experience in technical customer service
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively handle multiple projects or activities simultaneously
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple competing priorities and proceed with objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role
  • Comfortable providing management briefings and detailed operational level reviews
  • Experience with ITIL preferred
  • Experience with applicable regulatory standards including CFR 21 part 11 strongly preferred
  • Experience in the biopharma industry preferred

Education:

  • Bachelors degree plus 2 years experience or equivalent
